Great place for a drink after a walk
I love coming here for the hillwalking but don't go to the Inn! Only a 1/2 hr motorbike ride away and to have the Pentlands on your doorstep is a delight....I've just started hillwalking again after a few years away so Flotterstone is ideal to build up your hill legs as it has tracks to suit everyone, from casual stroll to harder routes that are very accessible.The only gripe is the weathered state of the car park surface as I find it difficult to manoeuvre my bike out and some parts are very mushy. Not safe for a biker at all. Also, being a popular place and a tourist site, Flotterstone can be extremely busy but I prefer to visit at off-peak times.

Didn't even want to put one star, after what I've just read,charging soldiers 50p for the use of the toilet!!!! Your are a disgrace, shame on you.And now your trying to say it was a joke,No joke you were cashing in at a time when people needed help,your disgusting.
The Flotterstone Im charged a soldier 50p to use their toilet. The squaddie was posted there by the army to assist with incidents and help stranded people due to heavy snow and dangerous conditions. Totally uncalled for. Read the daily mail, it actually made it into a newspaper. Shame on the owner. They tell me the money will go to charity, or it was said in jest, but I dont believe its funny. Ill never go to the Flotterstone again for a meal.
